Designed by transaction processing experts, the Eclipse terminal makes all types of payment transactions easier.

The Eclipse terminal processes a variety of noncash transactions in one integrated package. Merchants no longer need several terminals to process and authorize checks, credit and debit cards, and electronic benefits transfer (EBT) transactions, because the Eclipse does it all. The Eclipse terminal is the enabler for the TeleCheck Electronic Check Acceptance (ECA) service, which converts paper checks into electronic transactions and automatically deposits the funds directly into a merchant's account. As an added bonus, the Eclipse has a built-in receipt printer, so no additional equipment is needed.

TeleCheck
® brings the power and convenience of electronic check commerce to the point-of-sale with the TeleCheck® Electronic Check Acceptance® (ECA®) Service. This digital process allows merchants to accept checks as quickly, safely and easily as credit cards while improving the cash flow of their business.
Here's how it works. The business authorizes the consumer's check through TeleCheck
® using the Eclipse® payment terminal or other ECA-certified point-of-sale terminal. Once the transaction is approved, the clerk gives the check writer a printed receipt for signature. The check writer's signature allows TeleCheck® to electronically present the transaction to the check writer's bank for settlement and that money is then automatically deposited in the business's bank account.
The ECA service makes it safer, faster and easier to accept checks and will make checks a more viable payment option for both businesses and consumers.

TeleCheck

The advanced system TeleCheck® has created in conjunction with these databases allows us to predict with unmatched accuracy the probability of a check being good. Check Guarantee service helps businesses accept low-numbered, out-of-town, or out-of-state checks with confidence.
Thanks to recent technological advances in TeleCheck's risk management systems, the Check Guarantee service is now better than ever. TeleCheck automatically warrants the full amount of any check it approves, provided all of TeleCheck's simple requirements have been followed. And, TeleCheck's reimbursement period for paper checks is short. Merchants who utilize the Automated Clearing House (ACH) settlement for monthly billing may be reimbursed as quickly as seven days after TeleCheck
® has received the returned check.

The TeleCheck® Check Verification Service helps merchants separate good check writers from bad ones allowing them to adopt a liberal check acceptance policy that will benefit both the merchants and their customers.
Armed with national databases containing real-time information from more than 306,000 businesses and financial institutions, TeleCheck offers the most accurate check verification service in the industry. These databases provide merchants with continually updated information including bad check activity as it occurs, automated inquiries using the consumer's identification (Driver's License or state ID) as well as checking account data.
Flexible verification options allow merchants to determine what risk level is acceptable for their individual business. These verification systems reduce the likelihood of multiple fraudulent transactions and also help detect fraud in progress. The basic Verification service quickly separates good and bad check risks using TeleCheck's negative database. This database comprises more than 51 million bad check records, enabling merchants to make informed, reliable decisions regarding each check their business sees.
The Verification with Risk Management service uses both TeleCheck's checkwriter activity and negative databases along with its risk management system to identify not only bad check writing risks, but also good ones. The risk management service utilizes TeleCheck's risk and predictive-modeling systems to analyze over 30 variables to predict the probability of a check being good. These assessment tools include regression modeling, neural networks, and decision tree analysis.
